$25 Chick-fil-A Good Friday Giveaway

If you haven't heard, Jesus is good. Like really good. Like so good, He was ok with being killed despite doing nothing wrong.

And get this.

He did it all for YOU.

Jesus was is perfect. He only did what God did.

But average people like us...we mess up.

And when you mess up...you have had to die.

But Jesus heard this logic and was like

no- I have other plans.

When you mess up (and you will) you don't have to die

you can turn to Me instead.

So He died on your behalf.

And not just your average death.

He was crucified.

Ya know, nailed to a cross.

Because He already knew that no matter how hard you tried

there was no way you could avoid....messing up.

Oh yeah and to top it off he kind of...rose from the dead.

Every day is a good day to recognize God's goodness. And today is especially a good day to think good thoughts about how good God is because there is a good holiday in place that recognizes His goodness, called Good Friday.

So in honor of Jesus being good, I am doing something much less good.

I am giving away a
$25 Chick-fil-A gift card
to one winner who comments below with one way God has been good to you.

It can be as short as: "He loves me."

Or as long as your whole testimony. I will read it!

The giveaway ends tonight at 11:00p.m. EST and the winner will be randomly chosen and  announced tomorrow morning on Facebook, so make sure you like Holly Loo Ya!

  2. Hmm...He's alllwayyyssssss so good man. But specifically yesterday, let just say..I saw God's goodness first hand. So as a senior in High School, who's already been accepted into colleges, it's pretty hard staying motivated and focusing and trying. So let say this past quarter was... Not so great. Actually it was pretty bad. I barely tried πŸ˜…and I was actually content with the grades I was going to get because I knew I deserved it. But then..idk what happened..all I can say is God was so merciful and so good. I literally had (let's not say the exact number because I'm ashamed) about 2 bad grades specifically, and I go back to check them at the end of the day yesterday...once again, I was content Knowing that they were pretty bad..and all of a sudden I see a switch around of numbers! I was like wait...no way...un uh....this is not possible. Let's say the quarter I deserved the worst grades in my whole HS career I ended up with over a 4.0 and I'm still confused as to how but I just know that God is good. It reminded me of how undeserving we are of his love and grace yet man oh man...he still loves us like there's no tomorrow πŸ’–

  3. God is probably the toughest person I know because he allowed me, in all my unworthiness, to serve and surrender myself to him, a perfect being.

I don't have Facebook, so here's my email:

  4. God is sooooo good to me because when He speaks I find myself trembling at every Word-talk about Sovereignty, talk about brokenness; so much beauty in that. When I'm broken He meets me exactly where I am. I feel like when I am constantly in that truthful place, of "I need you Abba," He has one of those "A-HA! Come to me my daughter" moments. I fear Him soooo much bc He's Good. A lot of ppl think God is some big mean-y on His throne doing mean thangs. No, no, NO! God is a GOOD God. It's His nature to be gracious to us; to be GOOD to us. That's who He is. I'm not disregarding the fact that when I act up He doesn't discipline me, but He does it because He loves me soooo much. Mannn if it wasn't for His love.....Jesus....

Where do I even begin?! Oh yea, how about the beginning!! =) I was born
on Monday, May 29th 1989 to a teenage mother who didn't know the first
thing about being a woman, let alone a mom. BUT GOD!! He has been TOOO
good to us by continuing to keep us, and love us despite our mistakes.
My mother tells me all the time how although she didn't plan to be a
teenage mom, I was the best thing to ever happen to her. God turned her
"not so good" situation into the ultimate blessing in disguise. In the
midst of a situation where she could have given up on life, God gave us
grace beyond measure and peace that passes all understanding. Thats
looovveeee!! *inserts endless heart eyes emojis*

  7. God is so good to me because despite my many faults and short-comings, He still welcomes me with his arms wide open, (in my Kim Walker voice lol). He gives me a second chance, millions of times :) Many times I give up on my self, but He gives me the courage to continue stronger than before.

  8. God is good to me because not only did he die for me but he saved my life from death multiply times. When I was five I was in a car accident with my family and was in a body cast from the waist down. I am still here, when I was in a bad relationship racing to go be with Satans son I got into two car accidens. I am still here, when I was drunk and diving home from the club multiply times he converd me the whole way home. I am still here, when I didn't even know where I was because I was so drunk. I am still here, when I was still chasing after satans son and my car windows got busted, and broken into. Thankfully I was not in it but that was a sign that I needed to leave and thankfully I am not dead from that relationship and I am still here. I am thankful that he loves me enough to keep me on this earth when I should have been six feet under. He is beyond good to me even when I am so dis worthy. He is great to me because he graced me with a calling to tell women my story and to glorify him while I do it !

  10. Won't go through my entire testimony, but in 2013 I dropped out of high school because it was really stressing me out to the point of me being really unhappy. And a month after that (in January), I was sent to the ER because my stomach hurt so bad I screamed at the touch. After a few months, we found out I had a double kidney infection and a stomach ulcer. Last year was pretty much recovery from that, because my immune system was down. I tried not to be bitter about it, but my whole life was put on hold because of two little--and common--things.

This past November, though, I had a friend really push me towards becoming an editor, so I started marketing myself out. I met the most amazing author who has been helping me through marketing and finding clients, and I just got offered a partnership from a professional editor. I'm also an Irish dancer, and after years of looking for classes, I stopped trying to make a class and now have two offers! There's also a trip I want to go on this summer, but I can't afford it, and one of my dearest friends has offered to pay for it--which is HUGE and made me cry, but is a blessing.

My life up until this point has been kind of sad (in other ways then said), and not a lot of people like hearing about my testimony because it makes them sad. But right now, I don't care what's happened before. God has started to put a lot on my plate--so much that I'm constantly overwhelmed with excitement--and I'm beginning to see how my past was to really help purify me so I could serve now with excitement. My past makes me excited--if God's managed to get me through all that and still have grace enough to give me an excited spirit, I can't imagine how good He'll be in the future. I can't believe, as I'm sitting here, all of the gifts and opportunities God has given me. I can't believe how good He's been, to get me out of messes, but to also put people in my life who help and love me and show me His goodness.

I just. Can't believe any of it.

  13. He has been so, so faithful to me. I've turned away, run away, tried to take my own life, turned to sin instead of truth, and every time He pursues me, saves my life (literally saved my life once) and welcomes me back with open arms, ready to bless me abundantly. The best of the current ways God has been good to me is with my husband. God knew exactly who I'd need, and my husband is the most amazing blessing and image of Christ in my life. (Another small way He is good? Chick fil a. The. Best.)

  14. There are so many reasons and so many things that He has done that my words cannot do justice! HE IS SO GOOD! But for one reason, God has always been faithful, even in my unfaithfulness and my doubt. He gives me hope when I am struggling with infertility and miscarriages, he provides community and family when I am lonely, he gives me peace and rest when I am overwhelmed by life in all its craziness. He is always there, unchanging, even in the midst of my very transient life. Praise Him! He is good! Hallelujah!

  15. God is so good because he blessed me with 6 beautiful and heathly children. Plus he has given me the Grace to handle them.

  16. God is so good! FACT of life!!! I have a hard time thinking about what good God hasn't done for me. But it's not His works that evidences His worth; His presence is everything. When I was deeply lost, He was there and found me. When I lived a lie, He was there as the Truth. But after everything I have witnessed, out of curiosity I ask God "how good are you?" His response gets better every time.
